How D.O.L.L.S. Grew From One Location to Three Businesses — With a Fourth on the Horizon

How D.O.L.L.S. Grew From One Location to Three Businesses — With a Fourth on the Horizon

How Scrubifi helped build Google visibility and lead flow to support their expansion

When we first began working with D.O.L.L.S. Cleaning, they had one residential cleaning location in Chesterfield, Michigan.

They were already an established cleaning company with employees, customers, and a strong reputation. But they weren’t looking to stay small.

As Kathy from D.O.L.L.S. explained, growth has always been part of the plan:

“Jason is always forward-thinking… what do we gotta do to make X amount of dollars? And advertising becomes part of any growth plan.”

As D.O.L.L.S. prepared to expand, Scrubifi’s role was to make sure their digital presence could grow with them — helping more homeowners discover the company through Google and creating a stronger, more scalable source of inbound demand.

Over the time we’ve worked together, D.O.L.L.S. has expanded well beyond that original operation.

Today, the company has:

  • Two residential cleaning locations
  • A separate growing carpet-cleaning business
  • Multiple cleaning teams
  • A growing fleet of vehicles
  • And plans underway for another business/location

As Kathy put it:

“Now we are three businesses and looking into a fourth.”

The Challenge: Build Marketing That Could Grow With the Company

D.O.L.L.S. didn’t need marketing just to keep the phone ringing. They were expanding into new markets and adding employees, teams and vehicles. When they prepared to open their Clawson location, Kathy explained that they didn’t want to slowly build demand after opening.

They wanted customers already waiting.

“We aren’t going to limp into it like we did this one.”

And:

“I want a bulk of customers before we actually start there.”

That meant their marketing — and especially their visibility on Google — needed to grow alongside the business.

Scrubifi built its SEO strategy around that growth plan: increasing D.O.L.L.S.’ visibility in the markets they wanted to serve and creating a long-term source of homeowners actively searching for cleaning services.

The Google Growth

Through Scrubifi’s ongoing SEO strategy, D.O.L.L.S.’ organic Google visibility grew dramatically.

In May 2025, the website received:

More Importantly: More Potential Customers Reached Out

More traffic is nice. But cleaning businesses don’t grow because a graph goes up. They grow because more homeowners inquire about cleaning services.

In May 2025, Organic Search generated 41 tracked customer inquiries, including phone calls and form submissions.

By May 2026, that number had grown to:

So D.O.L.L.S. wasn’t simply appearing more often on Google.

Scrubifi wasn’t simply driving more visibility. More homeowners were finding D.O.L.L.S. through Organic Search — and more of them were reaching out.

Meanwhile, the Business Kept Expanding

That growth in online visibility was happening alongside very tangible growth inside the company.

Kathy summed it up simply:

“All three of them have definitely grown.”

We wouldn’t claim SEO alone caused D.O.L.L.S. to add every employee, team, vehicle or business.

But while D.O.L.L.S. handled the operational side of expansion — hiring teams, adding vehicles and entering new markets — Scrubifi was building the digital side alongside them. Organic Google traffic grew more than 10X year over year, giving the company a much larger audience of homeowners actively searching for its services.

Marketing Without the Owner Having to Manage It

There’s another part of the D.O.L.L.S. story that growing cleaning owners will probably recognize. As the company grew, owner Jason had less reason to spend his own time manually analyzing marketing. Kathy explained that he used to track incoming leads, outgoing spend and marketing ratios himself in a spreadsheet.

Today:

“You send us the report and make it easy.”

And her assessment of the results is even simpler:

“Whatever you’re doing is definitely working.”

The Results

From one cleaning location to three growing businesses — with another on the horizon.

And during that growth:

For D.O.L.L.S., Scrubifi’s SEO strategy wasn’t about chasing rankings for the sake of rankings.

It was about building a Google presence capable of supporting a cleaning company with much bigger plans.
